PV at For Every Child media event

The For Every Child campaign staged a media event at the State Library on Monday 6 April. They covered the lawns with 1560 miniature schools to represent the Victorian schools that are currently underfunded by $1.8 billion this year. The event featured speakers from the Australian Education Union and Parents Victoria. (Photo above shows our CEO Gail McHardy at top right, speaking to media at the event.)
The campaign summarised its message as follows:
Victorian public schools receive a smaller proportion of the Schooling Resource Standard than any other state, while private schools continue to be overfunded.
The Albanese Government must work with the VIC Government to fully fund all public schools, so that every child has the resources they need to succeed.
