Minister Natalie Hutchins – Conference 2022

This video shows Minister for Education Natalie Hutchins speaking at our E-Conference on 24 October 2022.
The Minister’s appearance was postponed slightly by urgent commitments related to the Victorian flood situation, but she still managed to participate from a car by the roadside. We thank the Minister for making the time to speak at our Conference.
In her presentation, the Minister announced a funding commitment of $1.6 billion for public education if the Government is re-elected, including $850 million in school upgrades, and $25 million into planning for new schools. She also answered questions from Conference attendees about a range of topics including Family Engagement Officers in schools and addressing mental health issues among students.
