The Age reported today that, “Unvaccinated teachers, school staff and childcare workers will be free to return to work from next week, just two months after hundreds were officially terminated over their refusal to be inoculated against COVID-19.”
PV Chief Executive Officer Gail McHardy is quoted in the article. Gail said the end of the mandate would be welcomed by school leaders struggling with workforce shortages and parents just thankful that their children can learn onsite.
“Schools have always been the meat in the sandwich in complying with the directions of the Chief Health Officer via their employer and meeting community expectations to keep schools operating,” she said.
