Parents Voice in Government School Education

President’s Christmas message

Dear parents, students, and friends of Parents Victoria,

As we approach the end of another eventful year, it is with immense pleasure and pride that I extend warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of you. The holiday season is upon us, and it brings with it a spirit of joy, togetherness, and reflection.

First and foremost, on behalf of Parents Victoria, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This time of the year allows us to come together as a community, celebrating the bonds that unite us and reflecting on the achievements and challenges we have faced as parents, students, and advocates throughout the year.

2023 has been a year of growth and resilience for Parents Victoria. We continue to stand as a statewide non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and representing parents of students in Victorian government schools. Our vision remains unwavering: to provide parents with a voice, presenting an organised parent perspective to State and Federal Governments, educational bureaucracies, institutions, community organisations, and the media.

As we celebrate this festive season, let us also take a moment to congratulate the remarkable achievements of our Year 12 students who have successfully completed their VCE journey. To the graduating class of 2023, you have demonstrated resilience, determination, and the ability to overcome challenges. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to your studies have not gone unnoticed.

Parents Victoria recognises the pivotal role parents play in supporting their children’s educational journeys, and we commend each and every one of you for your unwavering support. Your encouragement, guidance, and love has contributed significantly to the success of our graduating students.

As we look forward to a new year filled with possibilities, let us continue to work together to ensure that every child receives the education they deserve. Parents Victoria remains committed to advocating for the rights and needs of parents and students, and we are grateful for the ongoing support of our community.

May this festive season be a time of joy, gratitude, and reflection for all. Thank you for being an integral part of Parents Victoria, and we look forward to the opportunities and challenges that the new year will bring.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Tooba Awais
