Parliamentary inquiry into education system

The Victorian Parliament is holding an inquiry into the state education system, and they are inviting submissions from the public.

It’s a simple online process and your submission can be written, audio or video. This is a chance to speak directly to the decision-makers!

You can make your own submission, or send your thoughts to Parents Victoria via email, and we will consider them to inform our submission.

Conducted by the Legislative Council Legal and Social Issues Committee, the inquiry will look at:

  • Trends in student learning outcomes, disparities associated with geography and socio-economic disadvantage
  • The state of the teaching profession, including the administrative burden on teachers
  • Student well being, including measures to address poor mental health, school refusal and student disengagement.

You can also read submissions that have already been accepted by Committee.
