Parents Voice in Government School Education

Respect Matters resources for parents

Resources are available to help families and schools talk about safe and respectful relationships, consent and peer pressure. In April 2021 Federal Education and Youth Minister Alan Tudge announced the ‘Good Society’ website, which has hundreds of resources for teachers and  parents, sorted into age-appropriate sections for primary school, junior secondary and senior secondary students.
The Parents and Carers section has a useful introduction to respectful relationships education, and links to other sites such as respect.gov.au and esafetyparents.
If you’re looking for support to start the conversation about respectful relationships with your own children, this is a good place to start.
