This report comes to us from the Brunswick Secondary College Parents’ Association (BSCPA). We congratulate to the Parents’ Association for organising this great event in September 2025, that will continue to benefit the school community for many years to come.
The recent Planting Day at Brunswick Secondary College was a vibrant success, bringing together over 30 parents, students, and staff to transform our school grounds with more than 200 new plants. Funded by the BSC Parents’ Association and inspired and supported by Jo Keeble of Tended Earth, the event was designed not as a fundraiser, but as a way to reinvest in our shared environment and strengthen community ties.
While BSCPA continues to raise funds through key events like Trivia Nights, music and art showcases, and the annual Twilight Market, Planting Day offers a refreshing alternative—inviting families to contribute their time and energy instead. The enthusiasm and turnout were so encouraging that we’re now exploring ways to make this a regular feature, much like the traditions already embraced by many primary schools. Thank you to everyone who dug in and made the day flourish!
