All decisions made by a Club must be the decision of a majority of members present at a General Meeting. Office-bearers or a Committee can act in an advisory capacity only, they have no executive power.
However, a majority vote of financial members at a General Meeting may give permission for individuals or sub-committees to take action on particular matters (e.g. to organise details of a Fete or in-service activity or arrange outings).
Office bearers should try to encourage all club members to participate in club activities, everyone has talents which can be utilised – most people are happy to undertake a specific task if they know exactly what is expected of them and if they know that their contribution is valued.
