Parents Victoria celebrated its 100th birthday with a special lunch on Sunday 30 November.
We were joined by representatives of many education organisations, past PV members and office-bearers, Members of Parliament (including Education Minister Ben Carroll), senior Education Department staff and public school parents.
There was much discussion (both on and off the stage) of the important role that Parents Victoria has played in public school education in the state over its 100 years; informing and representing parents, maintaining a dialogue between parents and decision-makers, and helping Parent Clubs to build and support school communities.
