Parents Voice in Government School Education

Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership

At the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, we create and offer evidence-based professional learning programs, events and initiatives designed to take Victoria’s highly skilled teachers and school leaders from great to exceptional. The Academy promotes the expertise and commitment of our teachers and principals to increase appreciation and understanding of the positive impact Victoria’s educators have on student outcomes every day.

Teaching Excellence Program

The Teaching Excellence Program is a 12-month initiative aimed at enhancing the professional expertise and skills of exceptional teachers from government, Catholic and Independent schools.

Leadership excellence professional learning

Leadership excellence professional learning programs catering to a wide range of individuals, from aspiring leaders and classroom educators to seasoned principals and system leaders.

Regional centres of the Academy

As part of the Victorian government’s investment in the Academy, 7 regional centres are being established at Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Moe, and Shepparton. The Academy’s regional centres will offer local teachers and school leaders opportunities to collaborate, learn and develop new skills and educational approaches that lead to better learning outcomes for regional and rural students and help lift the quality of teaching across the state.
