The Australian Council of State School Organisations (ACSSO) has welcomed the Greens’ proposal to end public school fees and a provide a back-to-school allowance. Parents Victoria is a member of ACSSO.

The Australian Council of State School Organisations (ACSSO) applauds the Greens’ bold proposal to eliminate public school fees (voluntary contributions and subject fees) and introduce an $800 annual back-to-school allowance for every child in a public school… ACSSO’s CEO Dianne Giblin, said: “We have consistently advocated for equitable access to quality public education. This initiative directly addresses the financial strain parents are experiencing, with average public-school cost averaging $500 annually.”
